Sara Wachter-Boettcher
Founder and CEO
There’s more to being a leader than climbing the ladder—and Sara Wachter-Boettcher knows that. She focuses on helping people build sustainable careers while staying true to their values, increase self-trust, and set healthy boundaries. She works with folks of all genders, with extra focus on women and gender non-conforming folks, and brings an intersectional feminist lens to her coaching work.
Sara founded Active Voice in 2020 after running a UX consultancy for nearly a decade. She earned an Associate Certified Coach designation from the International Coaching Federation, and has had additional training in both trauma-informed coaching and team coaching.
“At my last review, my manager praised me for delegating and giving others the opportunity to step up and grow. This is the first time I’ve been recognized for doing less instead of more! Sara’s coaching helped me learn how to better prioritize, focus on the most impactful activities, and let go of custody of problems.”

Jen comes to coaching from a deep background in content strategy and UX, most recently as the director of content strategy for a large consultancy. She completed her coach training at Leadership that Works, and currently holds the Associate Certified Coach designation from the ICF. She’s had additional training in team coaching, parts work, and coaching neurodiverse clients.

“Jen provided a tremendous amount of support while also challenging me to think in new ways. Her questions were always thoughtful and thought-provoking, and now I have long-lasting strategies and tools I can use to navigate sticky situations. I’m a stronger and more confident version of myself as a result of working with Jen.”
